I have a Vantec Tornado cooling the CPU in a P4 system that I'm making. I realized how loud this sucker is and I need to control it so I bought a Thermaltake Fan Speed H.M.L RPM Setting Cable. I noticed that I need a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter because the Tornado uses a 4 pin Molex connector instead of the 3 pin connector. I went out and bought one of these adapters but I don't think it was the right one because it still didn't fix the problem. This is what it looked like.

But this didn't fix the problem, does anybody know the RIGHT 3 pin to 4 pin adapter that I need in order to tame this wild beast of a fan? Too loud!

Thanks in advance!

*Edit* I didn't see the "Coolers and Heatsinks forum" so I'm going to post it in there too.
