It's no wonder they can afford opening new fabs almost each year! And this is NET PROFIT, right? That means the CEO could just run off to a lifetime vacation and shopping spree lol. Boy, such money definitely could go towards MORE R&D, or hey, do a good anti-capitalistic favor, donate 'em to needy people... :tongue:

Haha, yea. I think what Eden is forgetting is not one person owns Intel. Hundreds of people own small shares of Intel. They must all get a percentage of that profit. That's what the stock market is. You're literally selling a small value of your company to people.

Hopefully the amd/fujitsu (60/40) $3 billion flash venture can bring them in some money for research and get us consumers some good competetion. :)

I was under the impression the 896 million was net profit, didn't think stocks applied after the revenues and expenses calculations.
