I have a Tungsten T that I have used for almost two years. The only
problem so far is that the stylus has started to drop out. It seems as
if the magnet is not magnetic anymore, and the stylus will drop out if I
just hold the Tunsten upside down.

Has anyone else experienced this?

regards,
Jan

It's not actually a magnet, it's a flexible plastic clip that just
feels like a magnet.

I'm having much the same problem with my new Tungsten C. I had been
thinking I must've just purchased the wrong brand of stylus, but I just
double checked, and they're PalmOne brand. :(

I wear cargo pants all the time now, and about 1 time in 100, my stylus
goes flying when I pull my palm out of my pocket. It's VERY pesky having
to hunt for a stylus after it's rolled who-knows-how-far when I "made the
mistake" of trying to use my palm in a dark theater!

The ones I'm using are from a PalmOne Stylus Multipack for Tungsten and
Zire, part number 406-10022-00. They're supposed to be usable with
Tungsten E, C, W, and Zire 72.

Are there any better styluses available?

It's not a magnet, it's just plastic. The slot's just narrow enough that
friction holds the stylus in place. But the plastic can wear down after a
while. One way to fix it is to put a *small* drop of super-glue in the
stylus slot. After it dries, it will make the diameter of the slot
narrower. Worked on a Palm IIIxe for me.
