Leaving a backbox up for any reason other than game
play is dangerous. don't move a game, even 10 feet,
with the backbox up. A vibration can set up that cracks
the top cabinet right off. Like that 1950s spanned bridge
accident you see on the discovery channel all the time
where the bridge self-destructs due to fluid vibration.

Thanks for the warning, I guess the pinball races we hold tri anually will
have to stop. We have a contest where two pinball dollys are in front of
two identical machines, someone rings a bell, these are older machines from
early 80s no latches. you put cart under machine raise and rush to other
end of shop about 30 feet, then rip off the glass, tear machine down, clean,
polish, re-rubber and put back together, race back to other side and TIME!!
Whoever is the slowest buys the beers and the ribs and has to cook, then we
play. I guess now we will have to undo the heads as part of the
competition.

That's a prettty slick way to get your machines shopped for free.
