There's no need to re-invent the wheel. What's up with those light
sockets?

Ask Stern, they use them as well. Likely cheaper than the lampboards
in WMS games, which I prefer.

Those are the same type sockets used on
the later Stern pins. Availability issues
likely make them a favored choice.

Another companies making machines is great. Is Croc Hunter the theme
because Wayne can secure the license out of Australia cheaper that a US
theme (that statement almost makes no sense). I am just thinking the
Croc Hunter theme is old.

Thanks Wayne for keeping pinball alive.

Hmm, gone back to earlier Wms (pre WPC) flippers with big springs & caps.

Since it was started before he aquired the William's rights, to not infringe
on things he probably had to reinvent the wheel. Of course now with the
Williams rights, there is the chance for changes when it's built. LTG :)

Thanks Gary for that. I was asleep at the wheel. Did anyone read the
article. MM playfields have been rerun!!! This is awsome and most
people here said it would never be done. I can't wait till early next
year when these become available in the U.S.

I thought IGT had the patent secured for cabinet side mounted speakers
on amusement devices. Did Wayne get permission to do that in America?

I like that they made new board sets for WPC's. Now people can buy
CPU's and driver boards without having to resort to the PinLED
disposable surface mount boards. Sounds like they may actually be
considering remaking games or at least remaking a TON of parts.

Speaking of sound, I can't wait to hear this new sound system.
Hopefully it will include a headphone jack...

Its hard to tell from that whiteboard, but might CH be a fan?

I still don't get the right upper flipper, it looks like it's only use
would be to hammer the left orbit railing into a pulp.

Lewis:

I went back over the text of the article, and I did not see anything
that indicated that the playfields for MM had actually been
manufactured. The way it was worded, I am pretty confident that the
reference was to playfields that are schedule or planned to be rerun.
There is a pretty big difference between scheduled to be rerun and
actually completed. I am not saying that what you are suggesting can
not be accomplished, I am just saying as of now I do not see any
evidence that it has been accomplished. I am not trying to be a pain,
but would urge you to revisit the text of the article. Not a flame or
an attempt to stifle your enthusiasm, just an observation.

MM fields are all but done

any licensed stuff is iffy because they have to negotiate rights and it
is tough in smaller numbers

example:

Indiana Jones etc ....

How can you say that the MM pfs are done? From the article it says: "He
has also confirmed the first playfields to be re-run." Notice the TO BE
rerun, not "are all but done."

Unless of course you have secret private emails that verify this which
I'm sure is the case.

Wayne has stated in previous posts that he made himself a new MM
playfield and it is installed in his machine. That doesn't mean they
are all done though...

No your right. I should of said "they are planning on re-running" not
"already have re-run". My bad. But the fact that they came out and
acknowledgedthat they are planning on "re-running" these titles is
awsome. The fact is they can't be sold until October anyway so it
doesn't really matter if they have been done yet or not just that they
have stated that they will be doing it. Thank you for the correction
though because I was wrong.

Lewis, it is no big deal. I just did not want you or anyone else to
take action (although I am not sure what action one could take) based
on your first posting. I hope that these things will come out, but
would hate to have folks disappointed and pointing fingers. I really
hope you guys can get your new parts. They are going to need to go
back a decade or so before they get to any game I really care about
personally. Hopefully, we will all eventually get the parts we want.

I was most impressed by Waynes CAD and computer systems. WOW! HOT
STUFF!

Also, check out the wood in those pics. Putting the new router to best
use, eh Wayne?

By the way, is Wayne finished sending C&D letters to EBay repro makers?

A new FH playfield would be cool - believe it when I see it.

Maybe I'll be able to buy a used AFM PF for cheap and send it to Bill
Davis. That way I can still play while I am waiting 6+ months for BD
to do the restore!!
