Win XP Pro SP2 .....

When I try to access the System and Application log files in event viewer I
get the error message "Unable to complete the operation on "System". Access
Denied."

I ma logged on as an administrator. I have tried using the Administrator
account but that can't get access either.

Has anyone had this before and how to you fix it ???
