That must depend on your connection type - dial up over GSM will be
9,600kbps whereas GPRS will be more like 40 - 45,000kbps. Not sure
how to measure it on the Palm though.

With my GPRS connection on my GSM Treo 600, I get approximately the
same speed as a 56k modem.
