one last question. lol. looking at getting a 19" monitor. little too pricey for a flat panel, so which crt style would you recommend?
well, maybe one more question. any differences b/t an asus and an abit motherboard?

Since LCD are a lot more money than CRT. I like Viewsonic. I'm using GS771 17 inch thats their Graphic Series. I've been using it the past 3.5 years. For 19 inch New Egg Viewsonic G90F19 perfect flat screen, $239 plus $10 for shipping. Thats their Graphic Series. P90F perfect flat screen $299 Plus $10 to ship. Thats their Pro series. IMO for the $60 extra go with P90F since your using it more gaming.

No one responded to your question in the sound card forum because you asked what would be the best video card.

Klipsch ProMedia 4.1's (around $200, if you can find them) are similar in sound quality to the 5.1's if you want to spend a little less and you can do without the center channel.

nForce APU is the best. If you aren't going to buy a nForce2 mobo with soundstorm, then Audigy2. It's very close to nForce2

i am very happy with my 2 samsung synchmaster 700NF's they have a .23 or a .24mm dot pitch i beleive...bought em 1.5 years ago and am very happy...

2 things to look for when buying a monitor is...make sure it is flat screen...check its max resolution (high max res shows that a good quality tube is being used)...also find the lowest dot pitch that you can afford (easier on eye plus picture looks beter)...

There is no smell better than fried silicon
