Hi,

I have an Iomega 250Gb usb external drive. I used to plug it into my xp home
edition pc and it would be available no problem. After installing the latest
windows updates i always get an error on the "usb mass storage device"
driver (usbstor).

I have tried this disk in the following machines
- xp home does not work (dell dimension 2100)
- windows 2000 laptop has same problem (dell inspiron)
- xp pro machine works fine (dell dimension 4100)
- 2003 server (standard edition) works fine (dell poweredge 2850)

All machine are up to date with patches yet some work and some dont.

Can anyone help ?

note: i tried to delete usbstor from c:\windows\system32 but file is copied
back in as soon as drive is connected. Should i maybe search for all USB
drivers on machine including HUB device drivers and install again from
windows update ?

Thanks for any help.
Scott
