Hello,

I would like to know if its possible to put my mobo's 8.1 channel output to my 5.1 channel speakers? Also, I run my HDMI from the HD 5570 to my HDTV. From there I take RCA audio output to my speaker system's "AUX" input. If I'm able to conver the 8.1>5.1, how will it work? More specifically will I still get the proper sound while my HDMI is connected?
Here is my mobo:

And here is my speaker system:

Any help is welcome.

you just look in the audio software and set it to 5.1 surround. plug in the speakers and go.
