Guys, need some help.
Have a chance to pick up a nice WCS94 and was wondering what a good
price was on a 8.5/10 machine.
Does it have staying power?
Thanks,
Rich

OK I will say this, I picked one up planning on shopping it and selling
it, and several months later its still here ! I love it (apparently I'm
not a good pin player... I don't care!) Its great, its got alot going
on, great colorful playfield, very interactive dmd.
Everyone who comes over plays it and enjoys it.
I have a creature and tom and this fits in well!

It's initially cool since it's got a nice overall package with lots of
charm, but it's REALLY EASY, and you'll tire of it pretty fast unless
you have young kids. A good deal unshopped would be $1000-$1200.

I'm in the same boat. I bought one as a placeholder until I picked up
my next "real" game. Eight games later, I still have it and just can't
sell it. Yes, I've completed all the modes and rolled the score into
the billions but it's simply a lot of fun. Plus it has a great sound
and light package to go along with it.

Kids and newbies like being able to shoot goals constantly while
seasoned players have the cities and multiball to go after.

As an only game it might get a little stale - as nearly any game would
- but mixing it in with a couple other games makes a nice addition.

If you have kids or are not the greatest player, it's an awesome family
machine. Others with the same "family appeal" are: Roadshow, Jurassic Park,
Theatre of Magic, Tales of Arabian Nights etc... if you play it extensively
every day and are a good player, you might get bored with it. Best of luck
and enjoy it if you decide to buy.

WCS94 is probably the only game I can say that I do not regret selling.
While I agree the sound and animation package is very good, I don't
think the light show is anything to write home about. I could not help
but feeling 'shortchanged' when I played it because the playfield layout
was great, but the rules were terrible in my opinion.

Top rollovers were redundant for ramp shots to light tickets. They did
nothing else
Lower free kick saucers absolutely useless
Advance City awarded on missed left orbit shot as long as the spinner
registers just once
Cool ball lock that isn't so cool because it's just a wanna be ball lock
instead
Wasted rule and lamps for multiple left outlane kickback levels

I honestly think WCS94 was meant to be more than it is, but something
happened
along the way. I remember reading an rgp post long ago that rumoured John
P. was
removed from the project and someone else 'finished' the game.

It's a lot of fun, and a great pin, but.........

Tiresome if you have a number of pins, okay if you just
have a few. (Mine is resting in storage.) :/

Fun pin, I got one a couple of months ago and it has been fun. I must
be a bad player as well, I have not even got all 5 balls going yet :)
Buy it, have fun, if you tire of it , sell it and get another. As long
as the price is ok, you can't go wrong...

It's a fun game but easy. If you have lots of other games it's good to
have to just beat on every once in a while. $1100-$1600 pricewise

That lock up top could have been used WAY better to do the 5 ball
multiball. The way it's done now you have to launch the balls
manually. They should have let you lock three, hit the TV hole, then
when you launch the 5th, all hell breaks loose.
