The boss just told me to go out and buy any laptop I wanted and he would take care of it. (Sweet) I was hoping you guys can give me some suggesitons of what to get and what to look for.

I was leaning toward one of Toshiba or Acer's tablet PC hybrids, but that Toshiba Satalite on the front page today looks pretty sexy too. I guess Pentium-M/Centrino is the way to go right now, are the XP-M's even worth considering? If you had the choice of any mobile computer right now, what would you get? Going over $4000 would probably make me look bad, so lets try to cap it there.

I'm going to go to Best Buy later tonight. Buying retail is going to be so much fun!

I saw this model a few days ago, nice specs, but hate the colours, awsome graphics- and CPU-power though!!! Here´s a <A HREF="http://www.gamersdepot.com/hardware/notebooks/voodoo/m460/001.htm" target="_new">link</A>.

are you going to need maximum portability...power...or batery life?

So easy to fry yet tastes so good...

9656 score in 3Dmark 2001SE for a laptop, pretty cool stuff! I know you could get a more powerful CPU, but that would suck serious battery, and it´d probably stay on AC-power all the time, then what´s the point in a laptop?

I know you might not need this kind of computer, it´s just what I would get if I needed a laptop. Don´t really know what you need yet?

I think it would be hard to get a P4-M when the Pentium-M is supposed to be so much better for mobile computing. I also really like the idea of tablet PC's. I want something that will give me baller status....perfomance and battery life will be factored in later (As lame as that sounds) Thanks for the suggestions guys keep em coming.
