i have a coby mp3 player ---mp550-1g
all my files in it now sat they cannot be copied moved or opened or deleted because of 'write protection error'..i dont know how to remove the protection and i would like to do it asap..help

Maybe there is a switch on the MP3 player to switch on write protection? Sounds ridiculous if there is one, but manufacturers can be ridiculous at times.

I have an USB that says it's write protected, too. It doesn't have a(n external) switch, though. Maybe you can go change the policies in the registry, works sometimes.
