Use parallel printer on com port

I have a ticketing progam that searches for the ticket printer on a com port. However the ticket printer I have has a parallel connection. Using XP pro.

I'm guessing it's a pretty old program. If possible contact the software company, they must have updated it, if the PAR printer is newer than the software version you have.
