I'm not impressed. An american with crayons could do much better. Your government is obviously repressing you.

wingdin has a totem pole of his own.

all the growths on it form a set of faces running up his shaft. it doesn't have glowing eyes but it does have puss dripping from it :P

Yikes...TMI. Keep up the good work, it can pay off. My son Tim is a senior designer at Turner Studios in Atlanta. Even though he's an American

nice.

pity the market seems to be so crowded. but skill certainly pays off and those willing to push things ill not have a problem (i hope that is me).

and i have never had problems with americans, i have no idea where people get that idea from..... (well i can understand where people get it from, but its a pretty black and white outlook of it)

for some reason i would rather manage a design firm than design stuff though, so hey perhaps i will be a cheif designer of some kind too. (not perhaps but WILL, I CAN DO IT... tony robinson taught me that one :P )

Was that hand drawn or some sort of advanced cell shaded rendering?

Pretty nice though.

ok it was like this.

Blender (3d modelling, very basic shape of it, to get outline)

then i printed it out, traced it using a black coloured pencil, and added details to it by hand (much easier to add details by hand)

then i scanned it in again at 300DPI. and put it into photoshop. coloured it up with my tablet :D

then printed it out again :P

bit of a mixture, but one which i think gives good results.

What printer do you use?

any printer is OK for tracing.

i used a HP 640c on Eco-fast setting. and used sellotape to stick the A4 sheets together to make an A3.

however i do have a light table with 3x 40watt halogens under a small area.

to scan it in (again on an A4 scanner) i use an epsom and scanned at 300DPI. thn in photoshop (2 mins of work) i lined up the layers, and extracted the line work.

not particularly hard really.

if i were at university at the time i would have used a better printer but it wouldn't have made any difference in the long run.

Go for it :P

although it is techincally already 3d (i have a basic 3d file of it).

but if you wish to do it for some fun then i would be interested in seeing the results.
