My monitor and and keyboard are not working

Hello,
Right now there is no signal to monitor and the keyboard is not working on pc. I have a hp and gateway and now they both are getting the same thing. I know the Gateway is fine. Just bought the thing. Also, I took all hp products down including monitor and keyboard and set up the Gateway products. Anyone have any idea?

The obvious course is (as I think you've tried) to swap components around as a way of isolating the fault(s).

If both computers are out, then this strategy won't be very effective. Suggest you take computer or screen and keyboard to a friend who has a working system and test that way.
