HP laserjet 3015

Hello,
The display on the 3015 reads: "Upgrade Error CALL HP SUPPORT". The machine is nonfunctional. Anyone know how I can reprogram it. HP believes I need to take it to an authorized dealer. I'm certain someone knows how to overcome this issue. Thanks

Is there a number code with the message? that will indicate the error because Upgrade error is not in the error code section of the manual.
