Did the fan on your present drive give up the ghost? Do you need to knock off a few degrees of temperature on your present setup? Are you unhappy with the stock fan?
Yeah, better case cooling. If the case temps are the same as ambient, you should drop down to like 110F or something, but your temps will rise almost exponentially with case temp increases. I, at one point, had an induction system of fresh cool air into my case, but after tearing it apart once, I got lazy and just threw it back together in a normal fashon, my CPU temp went up more than 20 degrees since.
I too once had money, then I got into computers...

You cant beat an open case with a 12" fan blowing over the whole board. Instant 10C drop in both cpu and chipset/gpu temps. This is how I can run my 1700 @ upto 2.4ghz on 1.88v keeping temps under 60C. At 2.3ghz/1.78 volts it runs at a very cool 45C/110F idle and 50C/122F loaded.
At stock speeds its super cool, like 30C idle or something. Im using a thermalright sk7 heatsink and 2 smartfans @ 70cfm each. Even with the side panel off its fairly quiet with the fans on medium setting.
