Keep using expired HP inks?

How can I continue using expired HP Vivera inks for my B8850 Photosmart printer. These things cost a small fortune and my printer is telling me to replace 3 cartridges because they've passed the expiration date. I realize there is a chance the print heads could clog when using out of date ink, but I'm will to take that chance. I have a B9180 at work and when I get an expired ink message, I can simply bypass on the front LED panel of the printer. They still work fine and I've yet to have a problem. I don't see a way to bypass it at home, it just won't print. Any thoughts? I'm using and Intel iMac running OSX 10.5.8. Thanks.

As long as you don't let the printer sit for too long without using it, you should be alright, i.e. keep the ink "stirred up."
