I am running windows 7 on a laptop. My son is also running windows 7 on his notebook computer.
Neiter of us is able to wirelessly print to the HP Color LaserJet 2600n. It works fine with XP and Vista so we are certain there is nothing wrong with the network, printer, or connections.
We are able to use USB to print but it is quite awkward.
Can we get help?
A driver ... no updated windows 7 drivers are available on line for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n. I see them for many other HP models but not the 2600n.
As with any piece of hardware Windows needs a driver to communicate with it. If there is no driver then it won't work. What is interesting is that you can print with a usb cable connected to the printer.
How is your newtork set up and how does the printer connect ? Does the printer connect by wire to anything or is it connected wirelessly to a wireless router ?
This link is for Windows 32 bit and also found on the HP web site.
This model printer has been discontinued by HP so in the future there may not be continued support so you may want to consider a new printer at some point.
