Program is compatible with windows 7 but wont run

Hi I have downloaded a program called Diasend uploader for my son's insulin pump, it will not open and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no joy!!??
The message always comes up : Diasend uploader has stopped working?? Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.
Other people with windows 7 have downloaded and used no problem??
I even downloaded on an old xp pc and it worked fine?? I also tried to copy the program onto a flash drive and still get the same message??
Anyone got any ideas??
