Dimension 8200 and ATA-RAID card

Has anyone had any luck in getting an add-on ATA-RAID card (or SCSI
controller etc) to become bootable?

There aren't any related settings in the BIOS, nothing shows in the device
list, only Hard Disk, CD and Floppy, the Hard Disk option being for those
connected to the onboard controller. I just find this hard to believe, I've
not seen another system where there isn't a selection for this, usually
named SCSI.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

I think you can do it by loading a driver via floppy. Have you
checked the mfgr's site?

No, it's not that part I'm having problems with. That all works. I can get
through the first part of setup OK, it's when it reboots and actually needs
to boot from the drive itself it's failing. There doesn't seem to be any way
to get the motherboard to look at any 'off-board' devices to boot from. (The
only options are Floppy, CD, and Hard Disk [only the first HDD connected to
the board's controllers])

Thanks
