Could anyone give me advise on whether I can upgrade my present M700 Laptop
without having to buy a new machine.

1) It only have 600 MHz, I would like to increase this if possible. Is this
possible and if so, how do I go about it?

2) It has only 5.5 GB Hard Drive, I know it is ok to upgrade this but is there
a limit to the size of Hard Drive?

3) It has 192 MB of RAM, again, what is the maximum RAM I can use and how do I
upgrade it.

I know these seem silly questions but I don't have a clue and I don't want to
get ripped off by some IT upgrade company.

Thanks in advance

Martin

Don't bother to upgrade the processor. It is difficult to find the right part
and tricky to install. Memory and hard drive upgrades are pretty easy.

The M700 will take a pair of 256MB PC100 SODIMMs to max out the memory at 544MB.

M700's should be able to handle hard drives up to 32GB. The realistic max drive
would be 30GB... Ben Myers
