hi all,

googled the web extensively on the subject of getting around the bios
password on the omnibook 6000.

has no one disassembled the bios to determine the relationship between
the hash generated on a password (F12 at password prompt) and a usable
password?

if not, can someone post/email a picture or explain which eeprom it is
this has to be removed and i will build my own eeprom writer in an
attempt to remove the password. otherwise i'm sure i'll be able to
find it.

regards

There is no need to disassemble the unit. If you are the valid owner of the
Omnibook 6000 contact HP, they will unlock the bios. You will need some
written documentation verifying ownership.

If you are not a legal owner then you will likely not get much help here.
