When you visit whatsmyipaddress.com you are seeing the IP address assigned
TO the ROUTER. That's the IP address that all Internet sites will "see"
because the IP addresses that your router assigns to your PCs are
NON-ROUTABLE. This means that your internal IP addresses cannot be routed
to the Internet, which is exactly by design.
Double-check your PCs and make sure they are getting their IP addresses
dynamically. Login to the router configuration and make sure the DHCP
Server function is enabled. Also, make sure the number of DHCP users is at
least equal to the number of devices, including wireless devices, in your
home that access the network. Personally, I would make set the number of
DHCP users to twice the number of computers in the house.
After applying those changes, open a command prompt on each computer and
issue the following commands:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Login to your router, select teh DHCP page and check the DHCP clients table.
You have have two different IP addresses, one for each computer.
