i have about $1100. I want a laptop that i can do some gaming on and run some simple programs on. It needs to look reasonable for work and school (no swirls and whatnot) and it needs to be a laptop.
the first one i was looking at was Sony's f series with 6.4" VAIO Premium Display (1920x1080) with NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M GPU (1GB VRAM) and the rest stock
the next one is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
there aren't many reviews on these so i need to know how well they would run games and how reliable they are
if you have any other ideas i would be happy to hear them
It looks pretty solid. I'm not sure how the 5730 stacks up against the GT 330M in real-life, but Notebookcheck.net says the 5730 is better. I'm not so fond of the 1600x900 resolution on the ASUS, but the system looks pretty good.
I do think that Sony looks really cool though, sorta like the aesthetic non-Mac equivalent of well, Macs.
i prefer the looks of the sony for sure (the asus has a terrible redish tint) if there about the same i would take the sony but the asus has a usb 3.0 port and a better hard drive. its mostly the graphics card that will change my mind
