Hey, I'm am looking to purchase my first gaming pc and I was wondering which ones the best to buy. Here is what I have seen so far, and my budget is around £550.

Which one do you think I should buy?
I mean which ones the best?
Thanks. :)

None of them buy from a proper company or at that budget build it yourself.

All those you listed use a CPU known to be lousy for gaming.

They dont come with windows so add £70 before you can use them.

See all the parts where they dont name a good brand name? Those are bargain bin components that will be junk/fail or in the case of the PSU's likely just blow up just after the warranty runs out.

Oh, I'm a nub at that kinda stuff, but could you find me a decent build for around £550? :p
Thanks for the advice.

Total £543.50

Thats a better Graphics card than any pre-built in this price range will offer.

Theres a CPU cooler added as that CPU is VERY easy to overclock to 3.8-4GHZ.

Mobo is pretty solid good make

8GB RAM as 4GB on the prebuilt is cutting it fine

500GB hard disk as unless your Pron collection is stratospheric thats enough

PSU is a good brand

Cheaped out a bit on the case to allow for good parts inside

Self build is by far the way to go this system is better and more balanced than most prebuilds. Don't be daunted by the thought of it it really is very easy to put together and the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction that you made it is great :)

Cheaper than I thought and the "pron collection" is not as big as that, so I think it'll do...for now. :)  Is the "putting it together process" as easy as taking it out of the box and plugging it all toghether or?..

You can assemble all the components and install windows in less than 3 hours. Best way is to look up some youtube videos before you start and keep this thread open to ask anything you need to ask. Theres nothing complex in that build so it really is a case of just screwing parts in to the case, inserting the other bits and firing her up to install windows.

oh that reminds me i didnt include a DVD/CD drive i assumed you can cannibalise from whatever you have now if not add this

£12 basic DVD writer.

The self build is more balanced than the prebuilt. the problem with the prebuilts is they will emphasise 1 part to make it look good but then not balance the rest. This part list here is nicely balanced with a solid Graphics Card and if you ever need more CPU grunt overclocking that Phenom II is a very easy process

Go with that build, you could use your current hard drive in the new build to save money.
Building a PC isn't hard, just read up a bit on it and don't forget to put thermal grease on the CPU or it will overheat :p
The rest just slots into place really
