Buying a laptop tommorow, pls help.

Ok, so my HPs DV9000 motherboard died 2nd time, and i need to buy another one tommorow, i am going to do some HD editing so i was looking on this 2 laptops, i dont know if i need better CPU or better video card? and also the brand? .
1st laptop is Acer Aspire AS8942G-5679 prised at $1040, specs are

for an $1100 budget i'm sure you could find a good asus laptop. i trust asus for a laptop before i trust dell, HP, or acer. especially HP

Is it possible to pull some strings to get a laptop from America and buy Asus n61JV-X2? That is LITERALLY the BEST you can get for 899 US (amazon.com or newegg.com) dollars.

I haven't found the laptop anywhere else except newegg and amazon.

yea i forgot to mention that if your fine buying a laptop online you could get an asus on newegg.ca or NCIX.com. those are the only 2 i know where you can find them

Starting today the acer you were looking for is on sale at staples, it's $999.99. Not too shabby for a laptop with such a gorgeous LCD screen. Plus at that price the extended 3 year warranty is very affordable. Plus you get a high resolution, 1920x1080 TRUE HD screen, a 500MB hd, 1GB ATI Radeo 1GB DDR3 video card,. It would pretty much suit your requirements to a tee. And did I mention the LCD screen is Bright? Not as bright as a desktop LCD, but pretty much the brightest and largest on a laptop at Staples!
