At the bottom right of my desktop just above the system tray the version of my WinXP is displayed. How do i remove this so i have a clear desktop ?

i got the file, thanks for spending time creating what looks to me to be a custom made solution. However, it hasn't worked for me and the build number is still on the desktop.

It hasn't bothered me for the 4 months i've had XP, but now i've updated to SP1 i've got a long ulgy number on the desktop.

Any ideas for removal??

TweakUI -> General -> uncheck "Show Windows version on desktop"

OMG!! I don't beleive that i missed such a simple option in Tweak UI !! Power Tools comes to the rescue as ever.
