Headset for gaming

hey im looking for a new headset and i have found razer carcharias but it lack "multi-channel" functionality

what does that mean ?

and can you give some hints for another good headset

it cant be usb
i play all kind of games sport, rts, fps, and so on


i already got icemat/steelseries siberia

The typical answer would be to avoid headsets in general if you want quality. Rather, get a good quality pair of headphones (if you state your price range I can find you some), and get either a desk mic or a ~$10 Zalman Clip-On microphone.

Also, it would help if you could state whether you prefer open or closed back headphones. Open will give you larger soundstages and generally better sound, while closed will give you noise isolation and deeper bass.

For gaming in general, many would highly recommend the Audio Technica AD700s. They're kind of weird looking, but they're comfortable and have a huge soundstage which can really help in 3D positioning.
