Samsung 223BW Flashing/Flickering

Hello everyone,

Today after booting my PC and doing a bit of work I noticed some pretty intense flashing/flickering on my monitor. At first I thought it was me but after about 2 hours it has gotten steadily more consistent. Last night it was fine, no flashing/flickering or anything. However overnight it seems to have developed this problem. I haven't changed any of my hardware or software, I can still access the menu and everything. As the title states it is a Samsung 223BW 22" flat screen.

Got any ideas?

To rule out video drivers, boot into Safe Mode and uninstall your video drivers. Boot into Windows and install the latest drivers for your card.

If the problem persists then it's likely there is some type of voltage regulator (or whatever) connected to the backlight that is in the middle of failing. You might want to bring it into a repair shop and ask for an estimate to fix it...

Thanks for the reply Jaguarskx.

After rebooting and sorting out the drivers and cleaning the cable connectors off it seems to have fixed it.
