I receive this error on our PDC Emulator in a Windows 2003 domain. It
references a number of XP workstations. The specific warning message
is:
"The time provider NtpServer encountered an error while digitally
signing the NTP response for peer 10.0.74.91:123. NtpServer cannot
provide secure (signed) time to the client and will ignore the request.
The error was: The RPC server is too busy to complete this operation.
(0x800706BB)"
Upon checking HKLM\System\CCC\Services\W32Time\Paramters, the entries
are the same for problem workstations and those not generating warning
messages. What is the cause?
FYI, below are the exported registry settings of one of the problem
