How can I replace the bios battery on an emachine e627 laptop

Take a look at the sticky thread at the top of the forum. It is a general guide of sorts to taking apart a laptop, which should help you get to the battery. Usually you can pick one up at wal-mart or something in the battery section once you ID it.

Thanks for the info. I found out that this lap top doesn't use a battery. I had wanted to remove it to reset the bios password that is lost. I have been informed I have to send it back to factory for password reset.

that sounds a little fishy to me, make sure you do your research online and you're not just asking the manufacturer...especially if they have something to gain from working on the laptop...
