I will be importing a lengthy Contact list from a database on my PC,
which contains a many long distance telephone numbers. Currently, I
have the Dial Preferences option set so it does not automatically
insert a 1-prefix to every number dialed. Does this mean I should add
a 1-prefix to all my LD numbers in my database prior to importing?

Jim, I believe there's a dial setting in the Treo where you can add the
prefix etc.
Great machine btw...
