Is it possible for a printer to get a virus?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but is it possible for a printer to get a virus?

I guess it is possible, but as soon as you turned the printer off, it would be removed from its volatile memory. Some high end laser printers have hard drives which could possibly hold a virus. The likelyhood of any of these things happening is next to nothing, Ive never heard of it happening
