What is the best chat program for Linux; ideally it would correspond with MSN or AOL chat programs running on Windows computers.

I crossed the line into insanity so long ago I no longer have any idea which way to go to get further from the line.

My personal fav is <A HREF="http://gaim.sourceforge.net/" target="_new">Gaim</A>. It's M$N, ICQ, and AIM, amongst others, put together.

Yeah, the only thing I've seen so far is Gaim. I only loaded it once, but didn't have time to play with it.

I use licq. I LOVED the spoof UIN feature they used to have. It was so much fun.

(basically, you type your message to joe, and you put in jane's icq number. joe receives an icq message from you, but to him, it looks as though it's from jane. you can proceed to be jane and well... hehe)
