I made a mistake of buying a pc from pc world 2 yrs ago, after a long period of trying to get my pc fixed they have finally agreed to pay up on the insurance.

I now need advice on what to purchase. It MUST be from the Dixons group as the vouchers will be only valid there. i.e PC World, Dixons and Currys (England)

1_What is your budget? ideally about £500-£600 but willing to pay more if worth it upto

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15inch min ideally 17inch

3_What screen resolution do you want? I am not sure but will be using laptop for watching movies so ideally a good quality one.

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need? decent battery life but likelyhood is the laptop wont be taken out a huge amount so its not a dealbreaker

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? yes but only strategy type game such as civilization and total war

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.) watching movies, internet, bit of Office use (mainly excel and word)

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? anything over 300GB

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?
2 yrs +

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

DVD RW, if possible blu ray but again not a deal breaker

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Anything reliable and with good build quality

13_What country do you live in?

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.

laptop MUST be available in either PC world, Dixons or Currys.

Ideally would like N enabled wireless and bluetooth.
