Heres the notebook specs that i have (notebook is in delivery, wont get here for about another week)
14.1" screen
DVD/CDRW combo drive
Pentium 4 2.66 Ghz (533mhz)
512MB RAM DDR- SO DIMM
40 gb hard drive
Radeon 9000 mobility 64MB
what i am wondering is if i can achieve a reliable FPS rate in most games like Battlefield 1942, Warcraft 3, Vietcong, etc. I can handle some choppiness and i will probably uprade the ram to 1024MB later but i would prefer a decent FPS rate so its nice and smooth. What do you guys think??

Your laptop should handle those game perfectly.......
It depends on what resolution though
I assume your screen native res is 1024 by 768......so it wouldnt be a problem at all
expect to see over 60 fps on warcraft 3 and battlefield 1942 :-)

as for the ram.... 1gig of ram wouldnt be much a difference compared to 512 unless you are doin heavy stuff such as video editing etc
