You would need to employ a specialist Data Recovery company to 'try' and
recover those files. However that would be very time consuming and very
expensive.

Hi,
Your chances are better if you used a "quick format", than if you used a
full one. If you have already started writing to the formatted drive, I
would do as Will recommends and seek out a data recovery specialist. If not,
you can try an undelete utility - many are commonly available for free if
you just do a quick web search.
