hello can I upgrade the processor of my laptop from core solo (yonah) to dual core (still yonah). I searched and googled and I have found that T2700 is compatible with Intel 945GM, which my current chipset is. So can I upgrade it? any tips?

btw.

T2700 - 2.33GHZ - 2 CORES
T1400 - 1.87GHZ - 1 CORE

Yes, it can be done. However, if you take a look at the sticky thread up top in regard to taking apart a laptop and such, you are in for a big hassle. Plus, I don't think you'll really see much performance gain going from a t1400 to a t2700. I'd save up and just buy a whole new laptop.
