Any inkjet technology that does not smear?

Hello,

I'm shopping around for a multifunction printer, and unfortunately I do not have the space for a laser printer, so I'm still stuck with inkjets.

One major annoyance besides the cost of ink is text "smearing" or smudging when filling out a form.... i guess hand sweats when writing fast.

I know laser prints NEVER do that.

Has there been any improvements with inkjets with that issue?

Any particular brands/models I should look for?

seriously, have you looked at laser printers lately?? you can get very compact ones. Otherwise, Epson claim their pigment based inks are highlighter safe and smudge resistant.
