Usb keyboard does not work in boot up

Maybe that's why it was in the trash ! **

Seriously, check that the hard drive is being connected correctly -- if it's older IDE type also make sure that the single/slave/master jumper is set as appropriate.

Get into the BIOS and check that everything there looks correct, like boot order is set to boot from the HD.


** Most of my computer system is patched up "rescues" and now even my very fine hifi system includes some great Bowers & Wilkins speakers and a 75w NAD receiver saved from the crusher.
