I can log on normally but when my desktop icons appear and I click on them
nothing happens. I can only use them when running computer in safe mode. Not
sure if it is a virus or a program that has been downloaded. Have run virus
checkers, checked hardware and everything else seems to be ok. Have logged
on to all other (family) users of my computer and they all experience the
same problem - double click on icons.... nothing. My computer is fairly new
(June 2005) HP Media Center PC. Have spent two days looking for relevant info.

Hi

See the following link to Doug Knox's web site and try the fix for the
..EXE & .LNK files:

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately it did not work and I still have
nothing on the desktop working when in normal mode. Any ideas on where I go
to from here?
