Actually you can go to Add Remove Programs and take it back to SP1.

It's also worth noting that the Add Remove Programs deinstall for
Windows XP SP2 will work from safe mode, should your system not boot
after SP2 is installed. I used it on a friend's machine -- it was
hanging during normal boot after installing Windows XP SP2.
