The review of Pascal Janin's PI-X4 board is here on popbumper.com
http://www.popbumper.com/reviews/pi1x4/pi1x4.htm

Pascal told me recently that he's planning on dropping the subscription
service usually required to get in on the boards. He's planning to be
able to get up to speed enough to be able to have them available anytime.
In the mean time is there any reason you can't get the GTB board going?
Maybe we can help you?

I have a NiWumpf MPU (PB Resource) and a Rottendog power supply board
in my Joker Poker - both work perfectly.

I'd recommend Pascal's board in spades..

I bought one of his earlier boards (the PI-1) to revive a Dragon.
Actually, the original Sys1 board worked fine - I bought it because of
the TONS of new features Pascal loaded in to that board. Dragon needs
all the help it can get - and it's a totally new game with attract mode,
hi score initials, skill shots, etc.

Pascal is also about the nicest guy you'll run across - he's very
passionate about pinball and interesting to talk to. From an
engineering perspective, his work is also top-notch.

Is that enough of a review? :)

Sounds like an interesting board for Gottlieb. How much are they? (Been
looking at the site for the price)

I've got a Pi-1 in my Joker Poker and it's great. I've also got 3 Pi-1x4
boards and another on the way. I've tested the Pi-1x4 in my Joker Poker and
it works great too. You can set it up to play like the original - or set it
up with added game features. It has safety features to protect the
electronics and the playfield coils. You can use an infrared TV remote to
change settings without touching the machine. I highly recommend these
products.

Well, it's priced in Euro so they aren't as cheap as they could be. I
think it's somewhere around $250 - but they replace ALL Gottlieb boards
- PS, Sound, Driver & MPU. That makes it a darn good value.

I believe 200 euros, plus shipping.
There may be a discount if you buy more than 1 at a time.

Thanks I converted it
http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi

241.208 USD

Not bad!

Wouldn't mind having at least one...for one of my favorite Solid State
Gottlieb (1977-84)
Does anyone here have a SS Gottlieb from this era?

Mine is Close Encounters of The 3rd Kind (2nd would be Genie) Joker Poker is
too but just a little down the list
LOL

I have a Ni-Wumpf board that works just fine after the ROM upgrade
that was causing the 10 target to not score after the first ball.
haven't noticed any problems with it in 2 years. Steve Young at
Pinball Resource has it for $180 bucks.

Fred's recommendation looks good too since it looks as though it
replaces all the boards in the game in to a single board.
