Can I password protect specific folders. I know you can protect folders
so unless you ar loged in they can not be opened. I want to be able
password protect a folder so if my computer is on and I have loged in
and I leave the room no one can open that folder.

Just lock the desktop when you walk away from it. Press the winkey+L to
lock it.

Not really.
XP is designed around the user's security, ie you can make your folders
private, but it is only as secure as the password on your user name.

You can, in a sense, password protect a folder by zipping it up with winzip,
or the built in zip utility in XP I believe.
Others would be able to see the file names of what is in the folder, but
would not be able to actually open them without the password.
It could be cumbersome if you had a lot of folders you wished to password
protect, but for a small few or one works ok.

Or you can use this utility ( it's NOT free, but really good ) :

Works great on my system.
