Today's good news comes from spaceweather.com. Note how close the projected asteroid trajectory is to Earth:
ASTEROID NEWS: There's no danger of a collision, but on April 13, 2029, asteroid 2004 MN4 will come very close to Earth, according to new radar measurements by NASA and NAIC scientists. Sky watchers 24 years from now will be able to see the 300m-wide space rock glowing like a 3rd magnitude
star as it passes only 30,000 km above our planet's surface. "3rd magnitude" means barely visible from brightly-lit cities, but easy to see from the darker countryside. Mark your calendar!
I hope nobody forgot the "carry the one" or anything on those calcs...

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign</pre><p></font color=red>
And if they did, what would you do about it? The only close calls are those that come within the orbit of the moon like this one. The moon takes most of the hits.
maybe it will hit the moon throwing its reovultion off a couple of degrees and therefore throwing the earths revolution off a couple degrees instantly freezing us all[/sod]
I work therefore I am conservative.

and its the ones that hit that leave an... errr... impression
<b>For those who are wondering, I am NOT anti-religion. It is just that most religions have more plot holes than your typical Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
