Unable to uninstall hp 7140xi printer software

Hello,
does anyon know how to uninstall hp 7140xi printer software? i tried to do so via control panel, remove programs and this does not work. i also tried to find the program on the cd that came with the printer drivers, but when i put the cd into my computer, it does not allow me to access the files on the disk. any ideas?

Try starting the computer in safe mode and then removing the software via the control panel method.
