Mouse moving on its own

Hello,
I have an HP netbook and was wiping it down to clean and now my mouse is moving on its own and there is a little rectangular icon above the pointer. It is a touchpad mouse on keyboard. Did I click something by mistake?

doubtful? What are you implying that I made it up? I ended up going back to a previous date and undoing the several updates I had received and it fixed the problem. But thanks for your UNHELPFUL RESPONSE!

The cloth was dampened so I don't know if that had an effect or not but the problem is solved now. Thanks
