I am a Graphic Designer and i am working with Photoshope & 3d Max
  3. Are you going to be using an external monitor? or the laptop screen? Either way i would recommend the dell studio either way :)
Has a slightly weaker CPU, but the GPU will help in adding layers and renders etc
  4. I second that. The Sony VAIO is however, a bit more ergonomic to use. However, in terms of performance, you can't go wrong with the Dell Studio 15.

HOWEVER, The VAIO can be upgraded to a ATI Radeon 5470. I suggest you buy that as that will make it comparable to the Dell Studio 15.
  5. Tunas right, if you get the vaio with the 5470, then the vaio would be a better choice.. depends how much more expensive the vaio is then though
